From generation to generation, values remain constant

Over 115 years ago, in 1892, Herman F. Rieck, started a small business on Wayne Avenue in Dayton, the H.F. Rieck Company. The company installed sheet metal roofing and furnaces. Rieck was notorious for driving wildly through the streets of Dayton on his horse and wagon to meet his next appointment, and became affectionately nicknamed "the Flying Dutchman." Today, the blue trucks of Rieck Services are still seen today rushing to serve clients throughout Southwest Ohio.

In 1958, the firm was incorporated and began to expand into more phases of the mechanical contracting field. Becoming a local pioneer in the industry, Rieck Services expanded into several areas of mechanical contracting to include the fabrication of ductwork, installing ductwork, mechanical engineering services, project management services, comprehensive HVAC and plumbing service programs, automated temperature controls, water management, and energy management. As the company expands, it continues to actively embrace technological advances. One such example is the company’s facility-information support portal Rieck Online, where clients can track, analyze, manage and forecast facility-management operations.

To accommodate the growth into new areas of business, a new building was built on Wadsworth Road in 1966, which remains the location of the business today. The company employs approximately 200+ employees. Today, Rieck Services remains an area leader, providing high quality heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC) services to commercial, industrial, institutional, educational and premier residential facilities.

Rieck has withstood the test of time and challenges which has only strengthened the company. Now owned and directed by Harold R. Rieck Jr., the fourth generation of Rieck family leadership, the company still maintains the exemplary level of service Harold Rieck’s great-grandfather instilled. With a customer-first perspective, the four generations of the Rieck family have built a foundation of honesty and ethics, which continues to be a cornerstone of Rieck Services’ continual growth.

Rieck’s current mission is "to provide mechanical contracting services that exemplify value, quality, and personal integrity, while developing mutually beneficial relationships with our business partners."

With skilled and qualified employees, hundreds of maintenance agreements and the experience of completing tens of thousands of projects over the past century, Rieck Services has exemplified consistency in following their mission and surpassing customer expectations. With a variety of clients, the tradition of quality and service is exemplified in every new and existing offering Rieck Services provides.

Rieck’s family values and integrity continue through a century of projects
